Easter Activities for Kids

Looking for some Easter activities to do with your kids over the Easter/Spring Break? Here are some local (and not-so-local) events that you may wish to take part in.

  • Easter Scavenger Hunt and Egg Scrambler – takes place at Fort Langley on Sunday, April 1, 2018 from 10am  to 5 pm. The Egg Scrambler activity is for children age 5 and under.   • Easter Egg-Stravaganza – Easter activities at Maan Farms at 790 McKenzie Road in Abbotsford. The event takes place over the Easter Weekend, March 30th – April 2nd from 10 am to 3 pm each day. The cost is $10 per child ($9 Early Bird price) and free for parents. Activities include “Meet the Easter Bunny” (photo ops with the cutest Easter bunny), “Animal Face Painting” (by donation in support of the Run for Water Charity), “Become a Bunny” (make bunny ears for the entire family), and “Golden Egg” (each day there is a golden egg to search for; the winner gets an ultimate Gift Basket).   • Easter Egg Hunt – Easter activities at Kilby Farm at 215 Kilby Road in Harrison Mills from 11 am until 3 pm on March 31 and April 1, 2018. Activities include crafts, face painting and visits with the attraction’s farm animals. The cost is $9 for adults, $8 for seniors, $7 for youth and free for children under 5 years of age. Reservations can also be made for Kilby Farm’s traditional turkey luncheon. Visit kilby.ca for details.
  • Bring the family and celebrate Easter at this south Langley winery with an egg hunt in the vineyard, petting zoo, face painting by magical fairies, live children’s music by the Springmans and more. They’ll also have new spring wine releases for the adults along with delicious bites from Cheese St. Grill,an onsite local food truck to complement the wine tasting.  Only $15 per child (plus tax) with three different times available throughout the day. You and your family have your choice to reserve: 10:00 am – 11:30 am; 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm; 2:30 pm – 4:30 pm.   • Bear Creek Easter Train – train rides, egg hunts and visits with the Easter Bunny at Bear Creek Park in Surrey from 10 am to 6 pm on the Easter weekend. Cost is $10 per person and 2018 dates are March 30-31 and April 1-2.
  • Stanley Park Easter Train – on the Easter Long Weekend from 10 am to 5 pm. Tickets for the train ride are $6 plus GST per person. Other activities for which tickets can be purchased include mini golf, face painting, Easter egg hunting and meeting the Easter Bunny. 2018 dates are March 22nd to 25th and March 29th until April 2nd. Trains also run on the weekend of March 17th and 18th, but without the extra Easter activities.
  • Easter Extravaganza Event at the Museum – an Easter egg hunt and entertainment at the Port Moody Station Museum at 2734 Murray Street takes place from 10 am until 2 pm on the Easter Sunday (so on April 1st in 2018).
  • Easter in Queen’s Park – Sunday, April 1, 2018. Join us at Easter in Queen’s Park! This family-oriented event, geared towards children between 3 – 10 years features entertainment, crafts & face painting, activities, photos with Mr. & Mrs. Bunny, the petting farm and  loads  of  fun  activities  for  youngsters  to  enjoy.
